For the past three days, I’ve been listening (again) to a DJ set by a nice young Bulgarian lady who comes under the artistic moniker of Errorbeauty. The more I listen to this kind of music, which best fits under the label of ‘breakbeat’, the more I realize this is exactly my cup of tea as far as electronic dance music is concerned. We’re dealing with thick, dirty beats and hard basslines underlying quirky melodies filled with various experimental noises (of the kind to be expected from some IDM artist) and eerie vocals. The mix is from a party having taken place in February at the Dauhaus, which I didn’t attend for reasons I can barely recall today (very typical of me, by the way).
